Maybe they aren’t “classic” symptoms. Maybe, because medical trials initially only included men, these were thought to be the only symptoms. Now that studies include women, the list of symptoms is more expansive and comprehensive.

Loved the sections on PCOS and PMDD in Chapter 3 of Part 1. Very informative and easy to understand. Having a list of questions you can ask your doctor written out at the end of each chapter is also helpful.

I’m already relating to the anecdotal information. There are illustrations and the complex concepts are presented in such an easy-to-understand format.

The baron’s daughter just called this Black man “boy “…while she’s riding a horse and has a rope tied around the man’s waist that connects to her waist…he’s walking and she’s riding. Yeah…

More dialogue than description, which is why it’s so difficult to get into the story.

“The girl surveyed the boy. ‘Why is he so dirty? Couldn’t you have washed him?’
‘We did wash him, darling,’ her father replied.
The blond bit his lip.
‘But this seems to be his normal color.’”

Buffoon and kook. This is boring.

Just throwing people’s thoughts on the page without attributing the thoughts to the character does not make for good character building.

No idea how these characters are related to each other.

Did the Baron really say “hiccup”, or did the Baron hiccup? Egads…

Is buffoon the only insult available? Mongrel is RIGHT THERE. Donkey’s backside.

Do the Baron and Baroness not have names? Does the castle not have a name?!

“Briefcase” did not exist in this time period…

I’m struggling to get through this book. It’s gross and gritty and nearly unreadable.

The grammar, spelling, and punctuation mistakes have stuttered my brain. I have had to pause to process them before moving on. But the story is very captivating. The mystery is gripping.
