Sam, am I wrong in saying that Tolstoy writes quite biblically? Maybe it’s the Bible size of the book hehe but there’s something about the parable-like events and reflections of the characters (I’m thinking Anna and Aleksei Karenin in specific, but there’s something to be said about Levin’s farm work and relationship with the mushiks too) that gives Holy Bible to me.
