Starting off interesting and a bit dull, but very insightful about the behavior and thoughts of a depressed, type A woman. I already identify a lot with the main character.

Made me rage about the treatment of women and the pitting of sisters against each other in the 1500s. It also made me think about the rage and anger I harbor for the treatment of women. Women have been oppressed and abused since the beginning of time, you can see it in Henry’s 6 wives, you can see it in the witch trials, you can see it today in the way our rights are stripped away. This book made me think of this.
