Things are looking bleak

So far this is really exceeding my expectations. The story is so dark and shows a real biological and ecological consideration for the way the apocalypse functions here. Additionally, I adore how dark and messed up the interpersonal relationships are.

Interesting climax, but the story continues to be very dull even while being quite beautiful at points.

Still don’t love this book, but it does have a decent third act
