it’s so slow right now it’s kind of hard to read just like a prologue or something

the imagery of the garden is so beautiful- the sparrows, the blossoms and flowers. It adds a good contrast of the scenery in comparison of the vulnerability and tension as well as conflict Basil feels telling Lord Henry about his devotion and obsession with Dorian Gray, its more than limerence.

i like all the litter connections of the people in the books, the contrast between a wealthy american Daniel and the poor spaniard Ana is beautifully displayed as their connection intertwines, I want to visit Spain, it’s so sad Franco made the Spaniards fear connection and the truth so much

Ana and Lorenza are sisters in Madrid, working for a Hilton, their parents were killed for being republicans that ran a Montessori school. Rafa is their brother who works at a slaughterhouse and cemetery. Who’s Puri and why does she work as a caregiver turning a blind eye to the atrocities of Franco?
