Some good lessons here on when and how to apply big data and data science. Focus on defining strong relationships, and leave the why relationships exist to specialists

Interesting concepts. Brought up some limitations of big data i found interesting in the beginning. I am a bit worried its just going to be about small anecdotal insights and nothing significant

which it had a bit more research cited to back up the correlations described about asians being good at math. I find it hard to believe that it’s just the countries who rice farm - and not other demanding areas and landscapes. I would guess it’s a combination of the hard work culture plus geo political events (industrialization, war etc) that play a factor in the ability to be good at math

Chapter 7 best chapter. Very fascinating learning about importance of cultural factors in human interaction. Can definitely apply this to tech design and implementation especially in data space

Had to skip page 49-68 since it was predominantly graph modeling and other obscure modeling methods i am not interested in right now

Very insightful. Revisits fundamentals and at this point refreshing on the challlenges of relational vs nosql databases and getting a brief history lesson of the evolution of data models is helpful.

Very applicable to work so far - should be a good resource to go in depth and relate to issues I am observing
