Started to feel like it was moving into a slow burn for a but too long for my liking. Then shit hit the fan in two timelines simultaneously!! 😳😳 May have just bumped this one up 0.5/5 depending on how it wraps up… but I’m excited for the rest!!

Things are starting to get a lil spooky now! 😳

Finally was able to pick this one back up after it being on hold for a bit! Least favorite part of audiobooking. 🤦🏻‍♂️

This book is exactly what I expected so far. Shocking. Funny. Satirical. Devastating.

“I am as close to godly as I can be. I am pure. I am lovable. I am exhausted.”

The bird nerd in me is having an absolute field day with this one! Non-fiction written so impeccably (with the help of a fantastic plot) that it draws you in and holds you!! 😙🤌🦜🪶🕵🏻‍♂️

Loving how it feels as though the author is writing 2 (sometimes 3) completely separate novels, but leaves enough overlap to make it cohesive. The audiobook is 100% the way to go for this one too. Shane Ghostkeeper (single greatest last name ever) is absolutely captivating!! Hearing such a powerful story (of my Native American ancestors, the Blackfeet) narrated so beautifully has completely hooked me in!!

I love the mix of having an omniscient narrator and reliving the events through Oliver’s eyes as they are unfolding!

This is beautiful. Blurring where Shakespeare ends and M.L. Rio begins! Incredibly believable characters, engaging plot, and an intriguing atmosphere!! Can’t wait to see where it goes.

Also, the dynamic between Oliver and Meredith is overwhelmingly consuming at this point.

So far there are a couple of people I would like to get killed and more than that I hope have a hand in the killing!!

Not an overly quotable book, understandably so. But the way it’s absolutely chock-full of nods to the previous 4 books is so enjoyable.

Will say that these Hunger Games seem to be FLYING by to me, but it doesn’t necessarily feel “rushed” as a result. Just fast-paced.

Having such a beautiful background of Hamish while knowing how his victory impacts his life is incredibly heart-breaking. I just got the interviews with Flickerman and I’m loving it so far!

Definitely a different vibe than Greenlights, which is to be expected, but I wouldn’t truly consider it a book of poetry and prayers. It feels more like a mini-memoir with some Notes app musings and things that made him chuckle. And all the more power to my guy for having the confidence to publish them, but I’m afraid I expected more substance than what I’ve got so far.

Every time I get excited about the plot picking up, the overdrawn dialogue slows it down. Why?!?!
