Slowly plugging away at it…

I’m finally back on this verbose monster of a novel.

I could analyze these sentences of his for days on end. Nobody does wordplay quite like him.

I still can’t believe how his prose makes me feel like I’m watching a movie sometimes. Unbelievably good writing.

Everytime I read his work, I’m quickly reminded that he really was one of the greatest writers of his generation. I can’t go months without reading Nabokov again. He was an absolute madman of an author, who tackled taboo subjects, in the most avant-garde, metafictional, and darkly comedic way imaginable.

I feel like I need to read the first 45 pages again but this is some brilliant prose writing and complex storytelling.
