I like how he incorporated stories into ideas so you can get some context. However, I noticed a pattern of repetition across some of the laws, which can in a way be a reminder of what we just learnt previously. But it adds unnecessary detail and extra pages, which could have been condensed better.

I’m gonna be very honest, I’m pissed off about Alex. He’s acting too much like a fictional character, specifically a mafia boss, and it’s crushing the realism feeling you get when you’re reading and trying to picture it in real life. I wish his character would have slightly more emotion and personality.

Nice introduction with Ava - and her cute demeanour - and Alex - with his bratty personality and arrogance. I like how we didn’t have to wait for the two characters to interact with each other, and in the first chapter we already get a glimpse of their relationship. Although i have to admit i think hes a bitch.

The descriptions of the characters were a little wonky but whatever I’m not going to immediately be bashing the book when I just started reading. Its just i want to be able to imagine the characters clearly with good details but whatever

The book is kind of repetitive. “Oh Johnny..” this “Oh Johnny…” that. We’ve already established that he’s called Johnny.

Im so glad something exiting finally happened. I loved that slowly stuff started bomb shelling in the end-ish part and becoming worse and worse. I was seriously thinking stuff was being a bit repetitive between Johnny and Shannon.

I loved when Claire shouted “SHE SAID NO!” And all the guys started staring at Darron accusingly. I feel bad for him though 😭 he did drive there after all to pick up Shannon from school so she wouldn’t have to take the bus.

Can Shannon do anything other than running away from Johnny? And can Johnny do anything other than moving Shannon’s chin up every. Damn. Second.
