I am so bad at reading this

So much fun to read after watching the show. I’m breezing through it. I think the book is better than the show but the show leads are so cute together

This is my first audiobook. It’s cool how they made the podcast parts sound like a podcast. I thought my Spotify was messed up. The writing is a little weird but the concept interests me so I will soldier on

I might DNF it. Not a fan of the prose. It’s kind of making me roll my eyes 😬

The footnotes are great. I love that they’re at the bottom of the page.

“Voltaire’s anti-Semitism, derived from various unhappy experiences with Jewish financiers, is not the most attractive aspect of his personality.” 😭

This book is so funny. Voltaire is incredibly petty in turning his real-life critics, rivals, etc. into all the bad and unlikeable characters. And I am here for it.
