Finished the Gospel according to Mathew today! I finished the Old Testament a bit ago, and going through the rest!

I am not sure how I got the last percentage, but this is roughly accurate. Currently in Jeremiah 34.

I finished the Song of Songs! Great text going from Ecclesiastes where both the text and the content differ slightly.

Finally 30 pages away from finishing. It’s a great novels thus far. They had just gotten to Cirith Ungol and about to embark on Shelobs Lair.

For hobbits to stay optimistic is truly fascinating and the resilience as well. On top of which the battle of Helms Deep being much faster in the books being a surprise to me. Finishing Two Towers movie tonight - extended edition of course.

Finished Psalm 118 last week making myself officially past the half way mark.

Psalm 119 is a beautiful piece of work as well. The prayers recorded in the particular Psalm are amazing.

I do not go on this often, but I will try updating more to keep yall up to date where I’m at. I have all of Tolkiens works to get through, but I’ll likely revisit after I start another Brandon Sanderson novel!

The Old Testament journey has been good. I recently finished up a week studying over Psalm 23 and can say confidently I have the ESV translation memorized. So hold me to reciting it!

Started reading the Old Testament front to back in the fall of 2024. Currently at Psalm 41.
