For the love of God what a pretentiously insider-referential book. Maybe this is fun to read if you exhaustively know the intellectual history of these time periods, or if you already know the practical and legislative history of planning. To Hall's credit he says at the onset that the chapters should be read "simultaneously" but please, for the sake of the students!!, find a way to un-kaleidoscope your references!!

Hoppin' around the book bc school but I'll be damned if I'm not counting this toward my Annual Reading Goal.

Predictably, I am excited about the non-monogamy, but having a very difficult time with the (physical-not-emotional-or-psychological) pedophilia. Risky move, but I trust Butler. Also, the narrative is so gripping, and the dialogue is so, so good.

Welp, got to the part w/ the Chi Omegas and then obviously couldn't sleep, so kept reading until they caught the bastard (spoiler alert, but u already know) because I was so deeply, deeply disturbed.

At first I was like "why am I doing this to myself" then I checked social media and realized the world is basically coming apart again so idk why not be a little paranoid for all of that

Holy smokes, this is one of the most gripping fantasy novels I've read in a long time.
