Ending my year the same way I began it, with Nocticadia - and still, without question, my favourite read of the year.

Truly dark, obsessive, atmospheric and Dr Death himself living rent free in my head. Some books just ruin you in the best way, and this one never lets me go. 🖤

It's not that I haven't enjoyed it, I have. But it is super unoriginal in many aspects. I'm disappointed at the magic reveal, which had an opportunity to be really unique and nowhere near enough air time for Stark.

I'm not sure I enjoy long game MMCs, I just find myself wanting to skip through the starter and get to the main course 😅

I want more Stark time! 🙈

Might be a little too close to Fourth Wing to really be grabbing my interest, but the constant whining to leave to get to her sister is grating now.
