Got a little lost when they started describing the Essene.

I just really like Dan Abnett’s way of writing. It doesn’t take long at all for you to get sucked into the action even when you have no clue what’s going on. PLEASE DONT EVER DO ANYTHING WEIRD I LOVE YOUR WRITING.

Been scatter-brained lately. Hard to sit down and read, but each time I pick this one up has been a blast.

Uh oh, the good, rule-following Emperor’s boy has warmed up to the idea of fraternities. This is the first instance we see of the Emperor being so openly talked about in even the slightest negative light.

In the beginning I felt like this book was trynna act like it was different from the other books by using rougher language while still regurgitating the same self help shit other books do. It kinda does. But it has decent advice. Especially about values and not being distracted from your main ones.

I think if we had read this instead of The Goal I would’ve had a better time but then again I was just trudging through undergrad.

When Loken relayed to Sindermann what the remembrancer said about maybe just idk leaving the people alone even if they don’t share the same beliefs and he hit him with the drowning boy analogy, I done near fell off my treadmill. Seeing how the checklist evolves reminds me of the steps I took to streamline stuff at my workplace: all the efforts to get everyone on board, getting everyone to maintain it without micromanaging, and measuring to see if we did change anything in the end. I can definitely use the checklist mentality in my personal life too.
