Gave up. It is so anachronistic that it irritates the hell out of me. I don't know why people think this is a hisTorical romance. It is a cartoon with characters (weak and boring) in costume. Lasted for 100 pages and that is 99 too many.

I'm only on p. 30 and this is such a stupid book, I'm of a mind to bin it for good. It has nothing to do with the time it is supposedly set in. The heroine, an unmarried young lady, goes into a gambling den (naturally).The plot makes no sense, said woman (supposedly an innocent) wants to seduce an experienced man while remain hidden and inconspicuous in a gambling den, where there are very few women around!!! Awful
