I think one thing that I don’t like about these Japanese books is that the chapters are so long and I catch myself wondering when they’re over. Because of my ADHD I feel like I get bored easily. So right now I’m just like hoping this book can finish rather quickly because I’m already kind of losing my attention.

I almost wanted to cry in the third part, it was so sad. I am enjoying this autobiography.

I didn’t think it was a autobiographical book! I just saw the reviews and the cat and snagged it. It’s turning out to be quite sweet. I like the poems that she added at the end of some chapters.

Wooooooow! That was a long chapter. I almost lost interest, honestly… I think I may have. It’s just hard to concentrate when the chapters are so long. But anyways, looks like there’s finally a plot! I’m curious to see where this takes place.

Okay, a bit confusing. So many characters so many plots. But still cute. The chapters are a bit too long for my liking though. I feel like that is a thing with Asian books from what I gathered.

The sixth chapter was eh. Maybe it will be important later, but it just wasn’t all consuming.

I enjoyed the fourth chapter. It was an interesting perspective. The title of the chapter was fun too. “Trauma refund request.”

Loving the book! I think I was following along with the audio too slow and that’s probably why I was sorta dozing off. Or maybe it was just a bit of a slow start. As I suspected the story is connecting characters together. This format reminds me of the Japanese style books. Where they tell a story and somehow the characters are connected. The book has grabbed my attention now. Took a little to get there though.

It’s been a slow start. I didn’t read for a week because the start was so slow. But now, I’m starting to get it and im liking it. Was not expecting it to go the way it’s going. Something tells me it’s going to be about different people … somehow connecting again? The chapters are a little long.

The book chapters seem to drag on a bit. Not sure where the story will go. I fear that I may get board. TBD.

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve wanted to throw this book across the room out of frustration with the characters. Despite that, it has a complete chokehold on me. I especially enjoy Marcellus, his fourth-wall-breaking makes him feel closely connected to the reader. So far the book has left me full of anticipation, constantly wondering how the truth will be revealed and eager for it to finally unfold.

As I suspected, the two intersecting story lines connected, though not exactly as I had anticipated, but close to it. While reading, I noticed additional links between them, which made the experience more engaging. I worked my investigative journalism skills. This book is SO good! Enjoying the writing and the characters!
