So far, I am OBSESSED & up to this point, it is a 5⭐️

Loved the first chapter. Uncertain on the current!

I am barely scraping the surface on the book - and yet it is the most difficult read that I’ve ever picked up!! Mostly in terms of the language: “selfsame phallogocentrism” as one example (It’s actually the perfect word, but did have to google) but they are never ending! Slacking with ‘Second Sex’, but this is on another level!! £22 for the paperback so will be dedicating my efforts nonetheless. RIP ME

“We consumed each other and went hungry again” 💙 ~ Very much enjoying thus far, though there is SO much (hetro) marriage infidelity between homo (wlw). I understand the want of the unobtainable, and can appreciate ~ but at this rate its feeling fetishising? Assuming the author will either focus in on this, or settle for a main relationship plotline shortly!

Beaut dialect

So far, pretty infuriating. The author seems self-righteous in her beliefs & very small minded with a lack to challenge the beliefs and states them as fact. The beginning of the book started great; where she was mostly reciting historical cases and pairing them with great quotes from lead feminist literates. Her own takes - not so fine!
