When I go to rate this book I won't be able to rate it higher than a 4.5 bc of their equating of voodoo dolls and poppets being the same, bc their not. Voodoo dolls being linked to witchcraft is based on racism and white privilege. I could do a whole rant here but I don't have enough characters left to do so. But yeah. I won't be rating higher than 4.5 for that purpose alone.

I'll be starting a new section tomorrow. This new section is about poppets

I read up to page 176 last night. It's a good read, but I'm glad that I have moved on to different content within the book. The last section was about how to use animal body parts within a spell. Idk. Useful information to have but I'm glad to be moving on.

They don't explain very well what happened to the town Cinnabar so I'm left feeling a bit confused

I've chosen this book for 75 medium. So I should be making decent progress on this 😋

I remember growing up trying to read John Green's books and not being able to get into them, even though I wanted to. Reading them now as an adult I'm really liking the books so far 🤍

The last time I tried reading this was back when I was in school still. At the time I did not enjoy the read. I'm glad to say that I'm v much enjoying the read this far

I'm noticing that this book seems to have heavy wicca roots so perhaps keep that in mind as you read
