Great plot! Very immersive and interesting take on spy-based storylines. Meg is just a great character trying to navigate the queen's court and learn as much as she can from it. She learned of Marie's death, which led her to a curious chase to uncover more about who murdered her.

Main character is on a journey. She is traveling to the main city for the competition previously before she left the village. She was attacked because she thought that she could take on the offender thankfully, on the ride to the city. A family is taking care of her.

we learned that the main character has a very sick sister and her mother died because the main character fed her mom and her sister poison tea now we’re getting into the storyline as she has to travel to the Academy and try to win so she thinks that they will grant her a physician that can come and see and save her sister. Main character does not have a good relationship with her father.

I have placed this book in the do not read pile. It was very boring and very hard to follow because of the translation.

At first, I think I know what’s going on and then she uncovers more truths about the family and more secrets that they’re hiding. I would say that this is a very good pace of the book. It is a little bit slower than I like and it’s a little bit more that she’s not really knowing what to do. She’s just uncovering truths And kind of revealing what’s going on.

I have put this book in the do not read pile. Not my favorite storyline or narrative.

So far is a more slower pace that I anticipated. I do love that the perspective is from someone that is not a detective but I feel like it goes round and round in circles. Also too many characters are mentioned making me confuse some of them.

I have decided to stop reading it.

Narrator is very good at describing and reading for both characters.

So far so good! Love the dynamic of the characters and the plot so far
