Having a hard time getting into this one. Hopefully, the further along I get the more I'll enjoy. This author often has slower starts but I've not read anything by them that I haven't enjoyed yet so I shall forge ahead!

Absolutely loving this one so far!

Pausing. The situations in this book are hitting way too close to my personal traumas. Reading for me is therapy, and triggering my PTSD isn't fun or therapeutic! Sometimes, even knowing the triggering warnings, we aren't as prepared as we thought we were. It's okay to step back! This is a good book and I hope one day I'll be in a place where I can finish it.

I'm not enjoying this one as much as I have the previous books in this series, so it's hard to make any progress. May end up pausing this one and trying again later.

So far, Shades multiparaghs long self hate inner monologuing is becoming a bit tedious! Also, self-hating to that degree for liking rough sex is just IDK ... eyeroll inducing for me. I'm 50/50 on if I wanna DNF. Hopefully, it gets less tedious before the scale tips because, honestly, I like the premise, and I like Apollo. So, fingers crossed 🤞 that's enough to keep me going if the rest doesn't get better!
