I'm really interested in seeing what's up with Addie and Luc. Also like Henry's SOOO dead, like no shot

I feel like the story is trying to humanize Luc somewhat, but it feels so opposite to their character—they're a representation of the dark, not some tsundere.

Anyway, I'm fond of Henry and Addie's relationship, the way they sorta bounce off each other. Henry still feels so desperate, like everything is urgent. I think he overexaggerated his "lifetime," narratively given the year format he's gone before 2015

She can write her name with Henry as an extension of herself. They both are able to have a real relationship for the first time since getting their curses. That sounds amazing, but also so scary—I can't imagine how dependent on that other person I'd become in this situation. If there were only one man who could know me, if it was only him I could form a connection with. Terrifying

Kay, so Henry's whole wish seems to fucking suck. He's brainwashed everybody else into seeing him as their ideal. It makes him a big spotlight for everyone to pay attention to, but it also makes him invisible. Addie and Henry's curses are opposites, but also somewhat similar

I don't even know if I should be logging this. Book's a book though, and honestly I do like it structurally and narratively so far.

I suppose lots of books are erotic (even though using that word to describe a book makes me cringe somehow). I don't often use TikTok, but I'm pretty sure BookTok is 75% erotic, no?

The chapter with Remy again was great. A super upsetting ending, but obviously she was going to be forgotten no matter what. The payment was crushing, taking a moment of genuine physical connection just like all the others—even if only to him. Even knowing the actual truth, it's still so sullying

Addie and Henry's date was cute. I loved Addie's interaction with Remy—that whole scene was a joy for some reason, innocently sweet and fun.

Luc and Addie's dynamic is interesting, a kinda rivalry. Luc is in some ways likable.

I am more confident that Henry's cursed but I don't think it's plainly attraction, maybe a matter of perception.

Anyway, the flashbacks to France are bleak—so desperate feeling. I'm super interested in Addie and Henry getting to know each other, character dynamics are some of my favorite things and until now they were flatter, a one way street. I'm excited

Hmm, so Henry's ought to be the rememberer based off the synopsis, but does he have his own curse thing going on? Like a foil to Addie's, where he attracts people or something along those lines. She's a shadow and he's a spotlight—something like that. I hope the two finding each other brightens the mood, helps them with their troubles.

I'm somewhat curious about the mechanics being entirely unmemorable, but it does seem so incredibly lonely. I like this nice temporal back-and-forth going on: the now and her origins. It gives Addie more characterization than otherwise possible (you probably can't change much at 300 years old with an inability to inspire memory).

Kay. So the ring and an after-dark god will be a part of her deal/curse, yeah? I find the basic concept super intriguing: an unaging undying woman who cannot be remembered at all.

It's like dying in reverse, normally your body dies and then eventually your memory dies and you end up really dead. But her memory died long before she will, if she will at all. I dig that

I haven't written any updates on this book really cause there isn't much I even wanna say. It's fast paced, that's for sure, but it also just started.

The comedy's really quite good. Especially in terms of sci-fi comedy, in which I'm sure this is the best I'll read, but I don't have much to comment on. "Oh those jokes were funny" after each chapter just sounds like a waste of characters. You feel?

This kidnapping plot really seems out of character with the rest of the book. Like, unnecessarily added for more clear-cut external conflict before finishing out the book.

Being completely honest, it feels like padding
