Notes I am taking with me.
1. Is she depressed? I think i see the signs but sometimes does not mean someone are depressed.
2. Is she becoming dependent on alcohol?
3. How is her family situation? Feels like it’s something there.

I am quite concerned about her using alcohol as a coping strategy. Very realistic thought. I can relate to some of her feelings, the loneliness but not quite loneliness. Is it depression? Is she fine with it? I think this book hits women around 30 who are in or has been in similar places. I am interested and love to see where this is going.

This book is breaking my heart. Heartfelt written points of views and in all the sadness there is a touch of love. I need breaks between the chapters because it’s all so sad.

Beautiful language. It’s hard to read about this grief, his thoughts about the dead, the souls and life. You can feel the journey of his feelings.

The moment when Jan told Kattrina that Klara Gulla that she wants them to continue to walk hand in hand even if she was not there was so beautiful.

Oh, what donI think of Jan. I like him and in a second I don’t. I switch between it so quickly between every sentence I read.

This is a completely another read with modern swedish rather than the super old swedish I read back in the day at school.
I am still agast that he threw Grim the dog off the carriage!

Cora, Cora, Cora…. Not sure what to say. I am human so I am not sure I would do better in her situation. This is going to be interesting.
I wonder if Esperas is a mole waiting for Obelus. Idk or is it that Ampersand is more forward thinking and Esperas is more of old values kind of alien.

I like the indepth explanations of the fremda, well as indepth as they go.

Feels like a build up for a shitstorm. Her sending a letter to Nils is going to blow up.

I am wondering why Luciana was so shocked to see Ampersand when she has seen these fremda before. Oh well, lets see where this shit storm is going to.

It’s slightly predictable but it’s still interesting enough to continue. None of the character so far is very likable (except Olive) but that is not a problem. I am concerned for her family.
