Interesting story, interesting world but the writing is so taxing. I don't mind the second person POV, but HAWK's extreme admiration for Wylla spans from tiring to annoying. I do love the trans aspect and thematic though!

The premise had me believe there would be a lot more mystery, than there actually seems to be (at least so far) but perhaps that's on me interpreting too much into the description.
The prose is very beautiful though!
