LOL! The List of Grievances. I'm not sure 'being snotty' is an actual sue-able offence, but go for it!

I don't want to finish and it be over, yet I can't stop. So many things to say, yet I refuse to spoil an IA novel.

I'm savoring this. So far, loving it. The Gordons are great at writing kids that don't annoy me. Lol - naked, baby Conlan eating a turkey leg with a cereal bowl on his head.

This may be yet another for the DNF pile. Not sure what it is with me lately.
This chick is about to be saved from attempted rape by the H AGAIN. I'm 20% in. It's absurd! Like one of those old BRs where rapists hide around every corner because the heroine is so darn irresistible. Everyone wants her and they can't control it. :P

Waiting for the h to show a backbone. Jeez!

I dunno... I feel like I'm missing something. I'm - dare I say it - bored. I really want to like this, but it's just not grabbing me. So far nothing seems to stand out.

I don't know why it drives me crazy when people rate books that haven't been released and/or read. I don't understand. It messes with the rating. I'm a grump, I know :(

This is so much fun!

This heroine is sooooo downtrodden and Mary Sue'ish (plus she's not real bright). She's like a Palmer heroine. And the hero and his f-bombs. Feehan's living on the edge! For some reason I am highly amused.

h says to evil wannabe OM "I'd rather lie under an elephant with diarrhea with my mouth open.." Ahhh... clearly that will one day be a beloved literary quote.

Entertaining, but the characters sound like they escaped from a Jordan Silver book. Must be getting old, because I prefer 4 letter words to be used more judiciously.

I don't know what's wrong w me. I don't hate this, but I definitely don't love it. What am I missing?

I have to say I'm bored. This series comes highly rec'd :( I'll try and hang in there.

My first Julia Quinn. I guess I'm weird, because I'm extremely bored. All these people do is talk and have feels and then talk and talk some more. No action. I'm thinking this just isn't my style.

I've watched far too much Black Sails lately to appreciate this. I keep imagining how those pirates would react to the shenanigans. Especially the 'don't kill the poor captive pirates' debacle. Ummm... best case scenario, they lie to her face and then slice them open and feed them to the sharks the minute her back is turned. *face palm*

Usually I love Garwood's heroines. They are kind of Mary Sue, but they are lovable/quirky and always save the day in exciting and improbable ways. So far this heroine is sweet, but she's dumber than a box of rocks and a walking source of destruction. Surely she has some 'special skill' that I'm yet to see???

I knew he was going to push her away. I was just waiting for it, but it still got me when he did it :(

Hmmm. The wedding night scene was kinda kinky/twisted... and I liked it ;)

Gotta love those beautiful old Zebra covers.

And it gets better. The evil aunt comes in and demands:

Lol - I think I'm going to enjoy this old school mess. The evil step sister/other woman says the the heroine:

"...you poor un-developed little orphan!"

This is sweet. The hero is lovable. The setting is unique. Loretta Chase's signature wit is there. So, why am I so indifferent?

This is an odd romance. So far it's like a psychological/philosophical study/debate re: how much personal responsibility we have for others actions, guilt, female sexual guilt, and the vagaries of human behavior.
I always appreciate Chase's writing, but there's no signature wit/charm :( And where's the romance?

I think Kate Reading will be a great narrator for making Christmas candies and treats to.

Oh wow, this is turning into a nail biter. Now we're headed to Val Hall. That should be entertaining.

I'm loving this heroine. The hero is a dbag, but that makes it all the more fun when she smacks him down. Getting some story arc updates too. Plus, if anyone is worried, Nix is on top of this.
