Almost done. I’ve enjoyed this book. She put the good stuff right at the end. It’s sort of a collection of different ruminations about deer: their history, biology, symbology, as food, etc.

Good! Enjoying it. It’s theoretically pretty dense but I’m chugging along.

Fun so far! Kind of a narrative of deer as cultural signifiers and the intertwined relationship between deer (more broadly nature) and humans historically. Really interesting first person account from the author about brain tanning. Thumbs up so far 👍

Good, very good, very dense, I think she’s correct I just don’t understand 100% of everything she’s saying.

Good enough that I got my pen out but if I stopped now I would give it 3.5 stars. I’m not going to stop reading it though. Maybe I would give it four stars really? We’ll see how it ends.
