It's been several years since I re-read the series and I love being reminded of how much I love these stories. I had completely forgotten about this part, but I ADORE how clear it is that Bilbo has maintained friendships with the Dwarves of Thorin's company. The Hobbit is my favorite book of all time and re-discovering that connection made me legitimately emotional. I just love Tolkien's dwarves okay?!?!?!
