I think I'm going to milk psychoanalysis, gnosticism, the metaphysical, and psychiatry in my review (if I even write one).

I may not rate this book (if I do I may give it 4 or 5 stars). At the moment I cannot help but draw references to gnostic metaphysics and a "demiurge of self".

Don't let Goodreads' classification confuse you, I'm reading Swami Prabhavananda's translation (I will also note that Huxley provides an incredible introduction, one I find comforting as a Catholic)

While Pernicone makes reference to the inevitable assassination of King Umberto by a Jerseyite, the Paris Commune, Marx, and of course Bakunin, I wish he had placed more emphasis on Italian anarchism within the larger span of Europe.

I really should have read this far earlier, I'm ashamed to say I really don't grasp much about the political climate this was written from. Fortunately, HST guides the reader with as much depth as possible.
