r.f. kuang in a summary is just dark academia, vivid imagery and magic and this is exactly that so what was i expecting

i feel like her books are vibes>plot and although i can see why some would devour that idk if this is for me. this could have been saved by making fun characters but peter is exactly what his name would suggest and alice is just not for me :/

romance-wise...i need them to stop yearning and being angsty and just get married like ur both unc and chopped (endearingly*) and u both want each other so get to the point

eli is SUCH a cutie patootie and he deserves to find someone to match his adorableness and archer is so cute too. there’s too much cuteness going on i sound airheaded rn. the other frat bros are actually funny (i’ve never read a college romance where the side characters are actually funny). my faves so far have to be scout, marty and trey. #imgettingfratfomo

okay i need to get some things off my chest. the halloween 1976 chapter gave me a nightmare last night (ik im so embarrassed), kimmy needs to die im sorry (not) she thought she was gonna have her challengers moment but no babe ur chopped and unc. ALSO marlene is defo a massive lesbian why are her and remus even trying. remus just tell sirius ur jealous so he can stop attention seeking and simeon COME BACK I MISS YOUU

ronan is already being so funny once again (not even his situationship exploding could change him) and him saving blue with no hesitation made my heart clench. adam saying it would be weird tryna date blue bc she's one of them...boy ur abt to EAT ur words. maura going cave diving to find her ex and neglecting her child is so iconic i love her.

super excited to begin because book2 focused on ronan, this might focus on blue (yes ik i'm a genius) and im sooo excitedddd but i heard the series peaks at book2 (not falling for that propaganda) adam has a car now which isn't relevant to the plot but its important to me okay? gansey has a secret third thing w blue and they've found the ley line! praying for maura and her situationship. (ronan yearning for adam rip)
