I am now 2/3rds through the book and I still feel like I'm in the exposition phase. I hope that the last third of the book wraps it up well. I wouldn't say I've been disappointed so far but I keep expecting the book to surprise me and it hasn't as of yet.

Beginning and I'm already hooked. The writing feels it a bit 'younger' than Ready Player 1. I feel like the first chapter so far could be an exceptionally well written English final year of high school final exam short story response - but it is early pages and I expect the writing to become more nuanced and the characters given depth. The hooks in the first chapter have definitely snagged my interest!

Half way through in just a view days. This book is so captivating it's ridiculous. A true epic on the scale of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. It's overflowing description of scenes is not as burdensome as some of Robert Jordan's worst moments, but the seamlessness between dialogue and scenery could be improved. Discourse is still patchy sometimes but made up for by the completely engrossing action scenes.
