I’m rereading this 10 months later and enjoying it so much more. High Lady Feyre is a legend

I forgot how much I love Feyre’s scheming against Ianthe & Tamlin. Also love Lucien in this book.

I’m just not enjoying this. The premise, the internal monologues, the tone - it’s falling flat for me. It certainly doesn’t help that I barely remember book 1 in this series & that I recently finished Throne of Glass, so everything else naturally pales in comparison. Maybe I’ll give it another try someday.

This is so bad I can’t do this. DNFing

I forgot how evil Rhysand seemed in this book. When he twisted the bone in her injury to make it hurt so she’d agree to his help… yikes

Oh Nesta I love you. Why did I ever hate you? I knew she saw through the glamor, but I forgot that she went after Feyre.

Aelin is free & Cairn got what he deserved!!

Dorian shifting is badass, and so is Manon taking on the matrons.

I’m happy for Chaol & Yrene, though this isn’t the best time to have a baby. Ch 48 when they reunited with Aelin & Rowan was fun.

I’m glad Lysandra is alive. Aelin needs to get to Terrasen asap & get the sword back from Darrow!! Fuck that guy.

Oh I can’t wait for Rowan to get his hands on Cairn. My heart is breaking for Aelin - I hope she’ll be free soon.

I love Dorian learning how to shift and putting this truth-telling sword to use. Manon is slowly winning over the Cochrans, and if they’re heading to Eyllwe then they might meet Chaol.

Aedion & Lysandra need to talk. Lorcan & Elide need to talk. Poor Fenrys needs some peace.

Oh how I love the Suriel. This book is much more interesting the second time around.

Lorcan & Elide is everything I didn’t know I wanted. Cried my eyes out when Lorcan accepted death if it meant saving her.

I’m loving Aelin & Manon working together. Ansel just showed up & I’m excited (and afraid) to see where this goes.

Yrene & Chaol YESS!!!!!! The scene where she made him walk was so good. I don’t trust Hasar or Arghun. But I’m loving Nesryn & Sartaq.

Lysandra the sea dragon is so badass. And I’m glad Rowan & Aelin finally had their moment. I’m enjoying the at-sea setting, picturing these characters almost like pirates themselves.

I’m now a big fan of Chaol and Yrene’s dynamic. Honestly, I never felt like Chaol & Nesryn really worked as a couple.

I hope Nesryn & Sartaq end up together & Sartaq is the heir. Then Nesryn would be the queen & get to stay in the southern continent, where her heart truly belongs.

Oh how I love Aelin & Rowan. And Aedion & Lysandra. Lorcan is growing on me, too, which is making me nervous of what will happen with Gavriel & Fenrys’s orders to kill him.

I hope Elide & Lorcan can become friends at least. And where is Manon??

These PR people are wild… I can’t believe no one is even thinking about how this stunt will end. I do love the chemistry between Ian & Delilah. Rn they’re holding each other’s hands as a friendly comforting gesture in a public cafe as if they won’t get photographed…

You would think that a man who hates tabloids & rumors around his romantic life would be more aware of what behavior can cause such rumors… this will get worse before it gets better for him, no doubt.

Chaol needs to heal both his external & internal wounds. Hope the Southern Continent can get this poor boy a therapist.

It’s annoying that Darrow & other lords of Terrasen aren’t letting Aelin rule, but I suppose it makes sense. Hopefully they come to their senses soon.

Big fan of Manon having a heart and thinking for herself. Is there something between her and Dorian?? I kind of want there to be.

I’m excited to see Dorian & Rowan interact more - two beautiful, magical, unstoppable egotistical princes. Sounds like fun.
