I've read this before and I think i read Chamber, i know ive read goblet of fire because it took me well over a year reading in the bath haha but this will be my first ever full read through from beginning to end.

The latest chapter of "Reading something other than Stephen King for my horror fix" continues. I see a lot of people comparing this to The Stand and i can agree with that but it really doesn't read like King at least to me, really enjoying this big boy so far. soon i can add McCammon to my list of favourite writers and continue to explore his works.

I've never had to put a book down apart from when i was done with it, a book has never made me feel shocked and emotional so much that i need to put it aside and breathe a little bit, Nick Cutter has made me do it with the same book.

Jesus Fucking Christ, Cutter, whats the matter with you?....how can a experiment report be scary? just let Nick Cutter handle it and you will see.

Not a whole lot has happened so far but this line gave me chills, I think it's perfectly placed before anything has happened, telling me things are going to go south for these boys and fast.

Back on with this one after abit of a break, i dont think ill be able to read one novel after the other and so on of extreme horror i need to break it up a little but Bryan Smith sure balances the extreme element with compelling characters and their motivations instead of just filling pages upon pages with gratuitous brutality.

This is probably one of the best books I've read this year. Gothic, literary, creepy and well paced its almost a perfectly balanced book.

Sometimes...you have to go back to your roots.

Frankenstein's monster is as iconic as Mario or Santa Claus and we see that imagery everywhere, big dude with a flat brick-like head with bolts sticking out of his neck, its pretty universal but... That's not really Frankenstein's Monster. Its time to go back after seeing the recent Netflix adaptation to find out who the character really is.

Picked this one back up before it got stale, very atmospheric and stunningly written would make a great movie....oh wait

again, listening to audiobook so really not sure what page count im on just a guess :) Ozzy really wears his heart on his sleeve and opens up about both the good and bad in his life. His tone is very self deprecating and he makes a point of telling you he is not perfect, never was perfect he was just Ozzy. And thats why he was so loved, we all miss you Oz

Listening to audiobook so have no real idea which page im on but so far, What a laugh and What a guy, it may not be narrated by Ozzy but it sure as hell is written by him.

Thelma: "John....im Having a baby"
Ozzy: "I'm not drunk enough...."

Miss you Oz, boy are we all still feeling the loss.

Finally getting somewhere, not too bad and ill see it through to the end if it kills me.

It's not a difficult read at all but I'm reading chapter by chapter so its not a page turner

Recommended by a friend, promised her I would read the full book but so far its nothing special, and not much has happened but is sure beats the 50 shades of shit out of 50 shades.

You ACTUALLY did it Bryan Smith...you evil sunovabitch! Anyone who has read this knows what I'm talking about. Feel free to leave your 'son, you aint seen nothing yet' comments. This is only my second Bryan Smith book so feel free to drop me recommendation reads if you also like Smith's books (alot of which are on kindle unlimited which I'm so happy about) or another writer of his vein.

Thank the Lord i ate earlier today, the Kate Hibachi scenes is enough to keep my appetite at bay for a day or two 🤢🤢🤢

Still going steady, feels more of a character study than the first book but throws in plenty of nastiness with the kills. Sort of on the fence when it comes to Jessica Sloan, she sure has been through a lot and plays neither the good or bad guy this time around with her showing more of her darker side but at least her conflict of conscience is highlighted rather than it being random and glossed over.

Keeping the pace from the first book well, still have some questions but with this and 3 more books after (I'm also going to read Depraved Halloween After D4) time will tell. Not sure what to think so far but I can say I'm enjoying it for sure.

Straight into the second book, fun and fast reads.

You know a book is good when you get 100 pages in and realize what a breeze it was.

My Want to Read list is going to be insane soon enough.

'Take my time' MY ASS! I'm already on chapter three and i'll probably have it consumed by the end of the weekend. THIS BOOK IS FANTASTIC Grady Hendrix clearly had so much fun in writing this horror bible even the research must have been fun. I've got a lot more to go but i already know that by the end I'm going to want more which will lead to my next task in buying some of the paperback from hell.

JUST ARRIVED!!! Can't wait to get into it this one will be on my currently reading list for a while as I'm going to take my sweet ass time with it.

Been on my radar for quite a while, started reading this once before when i was younger but didn't get far. Second times a charm i hope, Also love the music composed for the movie adaptation by Tangerine Dream, out of this world soundtrack.
