I'm more uncomfortable with the main character than the cannabilism at this point.. somehow treating the woman as stock but also a person at once? Idk... There's something off with this man

Jk I have to do another update. Why the sudden change from depressed and aware of how wrong things are to what I consider to be rape (no vocal and enthusiastic consent, very forcible)? It seems so out of the blue? I struggle to see how it fits into the story which is why I wonder if author was adding it in a gratuitous sense. I am hoping for its relevance further on. Otherwise I am enjoying seeing where it's going :)

I really don't know how to feel?? Having a morally grey main character really means it's hard for me to decipher what is an observation and commentary on how humans can behave, and what is the author's own preference. I love the world building - it's horrifying, but I don't know how to feel about main's decisions (more in comments)

It's intriguing so far, but there are a few too many plot-line jumps I'd say. I can't tell if it's supposed to be confusing or it's confusing as a result of trying to give more backstory... I can feel it coming together though!
