December book club pick

Louis is the buzzkill at every party, lol

finally something of interest kicked in around pages 120

ugh, slogging through it but thoughts are i was correct about the overdescriptions. I must have blanked out how arrogant and unlikeable the characters are. Maybe it improves? trying to keep an open mind. will start counting how many pages it takes to get through one description.

I know I should read this, but....

Again dipping into my keeper collection to see how this 1989 title holds up. Honestly, also getting in some quick reads to keep pace with my reading challenge lol

My next read is a series I read in high school. I loved it enough that I bought it new and kept the series. Let's see if it holds up.

Bawhaha! Eve's description of childbirth is perfect, and describes my feelings exactly. Even Rourke is queasy!!! I love Eve and Rouke.

Not sure what i am in the mood to read right now, and the Amanda Quick book i found didn't grab my interest... so back to the In Death series.

Laughing out loud at the librarian's descriptions of customers, coworkers, and work!

Eve, exhausted, returns to her apartment and falls instantly asleep only to be waken up by - once again - Rourke breaking into her apartment and sexing her up? Wth, I guess I am too old for this lol

book club read - not my favorite trope, but we will see...

Finished secitons 1 & 2, debating starting section 3 since book club meets for that section at the end of Feb. What strikes me most about this book so far is how depressing it is that greed and politics seem to win over everything. And sadly, nothing has changing in centuries. It makes me wonder about trusting anything from private or government run entities.

This is clearly a millennial vieepoint, so I am curious about the viewpoints

I am interested in Carries backstory, and reviews were good so hanging in despite my annoyance with them unable to control themselves when surround ach other. She kissed him at work in the locker room? Hello, anyone can walk in and see, blowing uoure "i dont want to be a conquest when I fight so hard for respect at work", sigh.

About 150 pages in.. not really grabbing me, Ridley is kind of an idiot but continuing because I think the narrative flows easily

looking for an easy read... but I may have read this before?

I am having trouble getting into this - characters don't ring true to me, so I am putting it aside . Not sure if I will try it again, but I need to move on to something that will grab me, hopefully.
