I feel a bit guilty for liking this right now. It's like a Dexter love story, and I am getting a mix of several "serial killer as mc" books I have previously read, and TVs Dexter and Barry. Curious where this is going...

Book makes me crave cheese....

Mm... not sure about the main character. She is really coming off as an immature bitch.. I get she is in pain, but I hope it's not like this much longer.

On to my next book... new author for me, but so far reminds me of Emily Henry and Abby Jimenez. It is told in alternating viewpoints of the main characters.

Kiss and Tell Book Club- I will miss the meeting due to vacation, but decided to try it since I have heard about the author.

Starting my next book club read. I am excited about the book's location as it's set along the Burgundy Canal in France, a delightful area that Paul and I cruised years ago. This bookclub is through Happy Medium Cafe, with meetings at Cork Thyme in Avondale.

Pieces are coming together, even if Lore hasn't figured it out yet.

Kiss and Tell Book Club

Too early to have an opinion, but so far story is interesting, but having trouble with the writing style.

I like it so far, but I am not as engaged as I thought I would be. It's been a pick up put down book so far

finally something of interest kicked in around pages 120

ugh, slogging through it but thoughts are i was correct about the overdescriptions. I must have blanked out how arrogant and unlikeable the characters are. Maybe it improves? trying to keep an open mind. will start counting how many pages it takes to get through one description.

I know I should read this, but....

Hopefully I can get to it soon.

Again dipping into my keeper collection to see how this 1989 title holds up. Honestly, also getting in some quick reads to keep pace with my reading challenge lol

My next read is a series I read in high school. I loved it enough that I bought it new and kept the series. Let's see if it holds up.

Bawhaha! Eve's description of childbirth is perfect, and describes my feelings exactly. Even Rourke is queasy!!! I love Eve and Rouke.

Not sure what i am in the mood to read right now, and the Amanda Quick book i found didn't grab my interest... so back to the In Death series.

Laughing out loud at the librarian's descriptions of customers, coworkers, and work!

Eve, exhausted, returns to her apartment and falls instantly asleep only to be waken up by - once again - Rourke breaking into her apartment and sexing her up? Wth, I guess I am too old for this lol

book club read - not my favorite trope, but we will see...

Finished secitons 1 & 2, debating starting section 3 since book club meets for that section at the end of Feb. What strikes me most about this book so far is how depressing it is that greed and politics seem to win over everything. And sadly, nothing has changing in centuries. It makes me wonder about trusting anything from private or government run entities.
