Back to it. The book has been great so far but the situation that Fitz has with Molly is tough to read. I know tragedy when I see it and Fitz knows it won’t end well but he is naive and so am I. We will see how this plays out but I believe verity will be killed in this quest and so shall shrewd alas leaving regal to become king

The book has become something I look forward to. Fitz grows quickly into his world and clings to the things that interest him the most almost to a fault. He sees two father figures in burring and chade. One gives him the idea of humanity and love while the other gives him a drive for competition and kniving. I find myself reading at a fast pace to see where Fitz ends up next

So far the book starts subtly. You are introduced to Fitz the bastard son of a noble prince but you can tell he is curious but not overbearingly so. He pushes boundaries but never with too high a consequence. Learning about him and his relationship with burrich so far is well done. It is very careful with bombarding information yet quickly gives you the basics in excited to read more
