Diego is on page 312 of 381 of The Last Olympian (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #5)
So far Kronos/Luke is pushing towards Olympus and Percy convinced Poseidon to leave his underwater palace to join the fight for Olympus. Nico’s still arguing with his pops.

I’m almost done which is good and also sad because it’s so good. But so far Manhattan is under attack by the titans and the gods are still gone but we also got a look at Nico’s (son of hades) backstory and how his mom died. Gas.

So much is going on! Where do I start? Luke is officially now Kronos and Percy bears the curse of Achilles after swimming in the river Styx! The final showdown is coming since the entire city is put to sleep by Morpheus and the demigods are all waiting on mount Olympus overlooking the city. Kronos/Luke is on his way and all the gods are busy fighting typhon. Let’s goo!!

Diego is on page 114 of 368 of How Rights Went Wrong: Why Our Obsession with Rights Is Tearing America Apart
Pretty interesting so far especially given since we have gotten rid of the way our founding fathers thought we would run our courts. The big difference is the jury, they used to have power to check government on a ruling now it’s far less power but again controlling a much smaller population back then is far different than now. We are individual instead of communal now.

Diego is starting The Titan’s Curse (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #3)
THIS IS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT. Probably the best installment in the series (mainly because of Atlas). Bianca and Nico are finally introduced in the series (RIP Bianca tho) the gears are moving and the plot is thickening.

I’m pretty much at the end of the book, one chapter left. Not as strong of an entry in the series as I remember especially since it feels more like filler until the final 10-20 pages. I get the whole going to save Grover from Polyphemus and getting the Golden Fleece to save Thalia’s tree is important. Again it just felt like filler or just a weaker stepping stone. Still solid and enjoyable tho!

Diego is finished with Republic, Lost: How Money Corrupts Congress--and a Plan to Stop It
Lawerence Lessigs failed presidential campaigns seems to be what sparked him to write this book on congressional corruption. It’s an interesting read but I don’t recommend to the average Joe. Only right he writes this book after all his entire campaign seemed to be on reform.

They beheaded Medusa and then went to St. Louis where Percy fought a chimera on the arch and got poisoned, fell into the water beneath, and saved by his father. Now they are helping Ares.

I’m reading this for a political science class it’s truly brain melting. It’s interesting yes but also so dense that it hurts to read at times.

I know it’s a “kids” book but I’ve been doing nothing but reading dense and intense Political Science books about corruption in government so I needed a fun back to basics book. What would be better than my favorite childhood series? Everyone should read the Olympians series at least once in life!

Seems like I’m getting to the end of the book unfortunately. Good news tho I already bought the second book and there’s seven total books with an eighth on the way and also a show made by Seth McFarland so exciting and promising future for Carl either on paper or screen.

They made it past the first floor and had a talk show interview. The best way to explain the whole popularity aspect of the book is to compare it to twitch I guess but supposedly they should start gaining traction and becoming much bigger. Good book!

So they just got done with a boss fight which is kind of this book works with the whole leveling up and such since it’s based on RPG type games and the boss was hilarious. It was a roided out lizard who just kept saying “Ouch bro that hurt me bro” and stuff similar to meatheads. They are about to reach the next level though which is exciting!

Recently got back from traveling for the weekend so didn’t get to read but now that I’m back I read and still I couldn’t put it down. I think it may be because it is so much like a video game that it draws my attention more and more. Where I am in the story Carl and his Ex girlfriend’s cat Princess Donut just got almost killed by other crawlers.

I’m not super far into the book but oh my I can’t put it down. I actually didn’t think I’d feel this way about a book since I read The Lord Of The Rings series. This book is a perfect balance of funny and serious. I believe everyone should read this book!!!!
