I LOVED The Housemaid, so I am now reading The Tenant. I HATE all of the characters 🙈 I feel like the dénouement is finally happening so hopefully I’ll feel more positive about the book as it progresses… but as of now I think I’d be ok with all of the characters dying in a grisly murder suicide, just so I don’t have to keep reading about them!

So I called one of the twists but I have a feeling the end will be something else! Can’t wait to find out!

Goodness me. This series. I love that you know somethings wrong but there are some twists you don’t expect. Can’t wait to figure out what’s really going to happen!

Now that I’m used to the flow, I’ve settled in a bit. I almost feel like the start of the book is intended to startle you, because the middle portion has significantly different content. The focus in the middle is more story-telling as opposed to the opening with shock-and-awe sex stories and descriptions.

My feelings about this book have improved slightly. Still struggling. Will report back soon!

Still not wild but some parts resonated a bit more…

This is my second attempt reading Jonny Appleseed. I WILL make it through this time. But so far it’s going about as well as the last time… 😔 I want to like it because it was on the Canada Reads list, AND is by an Indigenous author… so far no luck. But, hoping it will get better!
