Honestly, I don’t think there’s another mistress at all. My gut says the heroine’s husband is behind it 😬 But instead of calling her out, he’s just messing with her, keeping her on edge with all that fear and tension the whole time... (Especially that he is one of the smartest and best lawyers in Vienna)🤷🏼‍♀️

How can the Japanese people, who seem so kind now, have been so awful back then? All the books I’ve read so far that mention Japan always portray it as the villain, and the Japanese as monsters committing massacres... It’s true that I don’t fully trust history, but I feel it’s impossible for all these countries to have the same opinion about Japan unless there was some truth to it 🤔
