Hopefully it does, I won’t lie the ending was annoyingly realistic. Anyways I read it in Arabic the writing was decent but it’s not really about the writing itself but the ideas behind it, the mass surveillance and how it affects the masses specifically in the psychological aspect, it shows how totalitarian and authoritarian regimes work etc… so it’s more of a political book rather than a mere fun read so yeah I don’t expect a political dystopian novel to be thrilling but to me it was.
