Genuinely, idk how to say it but I’m just so into this series in a way I haven’t been since reading Anne Bishop’s The Others series in… 2019 or 2020, during the v first, and so far only, snow-in I’ve experienced. Either I’m just in need of a similar escape currently or it’s just hitting v similarly.

lmao I love this book so much ngl TJ Klune is a great writer; he does a great job at making each character their own, and combined w the narrating job Kirt Graves is doing being just absolutely superb, this is shaping up to be a wonderful series I’m grateful I kept an ever& unlock available for book two since my library apparently only has book one!

I’m really enjoying this but it’s due in two days and I’d quite long so it may be DNF for now until I can borrow it again! Definitely a well crafted historical novel.

oh, I forgot how nice the era of fantasy novellas was
