Cyrus is selfish in his search for a meaningful death. But how can one have a death that matters when their life doesn’t? I enjoy the different POV’s in the book, like Zee’s. And even the talks between people Cyrus makes up.

Obsessed with this quote. The idea that you don’t have to be inherently good. There’s more value in trying than just being.

Gut wrenching. I’m so attached to these characters. I want to hug Maya, and throw a bomb a the people talking shit. I hate how human this book is.

Fuck. This has become very hard to read. So poignant. Too realistic. Too human. Humanity is broken and frozen. It makes my stomach churn. The scene of Maya and Kevin had me nauseous and was so uncomfortable. The quote by the end of that chapter stuck by me.

Very interesting so far. The characters are compelling and I feel like I know them already and the town itself feels like a character.
