Great book so far and covers a lot of ground, especially the New York as a city & a musical scene in the late seventies (Ramones, Patti Smith, Television). Looking forward to seeing David Byrne in April. Pausing to read a couple of new releases I’ve been excited about

A great companion to Meet Me In The Bathroom which covers the 2000 New York music scene (The Strokes, LCD Soundsystem, Interpol, TV on the Radio)

Sometimes, you read a book end think to yourself, this was likely a great book and I just wasn’t the right person or at the right time in my life - this was just such a book for me. I’ve throughly enjoyed hearing Peterson speak on multiple Podcasts and somewhat enjoyed the way he used Christianity as a foundation, intertwining its influence on world events, pop culture and morality.

The first third was a bit rough to get through as Anna Limbke & Jonathan Haidt had each already put out work with significant overlap. But after establishing a solid foundation, it consulted new ground. My fear is that while the dangers our current digital systems is having is very real, the author’s solution feels like a highly improbable digital utopia.
