Barry Engelhardt While I'm completely engrossed in this book and consider Gates such a brilliant man, I am somewhat frustrated that, 2/3's of the way through the book, while he's spent a significant time talking about obvious topics such as Afghanistan/Pakistan, Iraq, Iran and even Russia, he has not referenced any aspect of growing the Global War on Terror to target growing terrorist pockets in struggling countries such as Yemen, Somalia & Syria. But all-and-all this is a masterfully organized and entertainingly written book that I would recommend to anyone interest in politics, the military or even the mentality of a brilliant strategic planner.
