She asserts her character and is not afraid to critique displays of misogyny made by Rochester. Hate that man! I find the story refreshing and ahead of its time.

Interesting focus on the complexity of gender. The material in chapter 2-3 is a heavy read. The current historical setting provides some realism in contrast to the modern one in chapter 1.

Love when women write! The gothic atmosphere is amazing and I'm immediately pulled in at the moment.
