Having second thoughts, not feeling it rn

Giving 4.5? 👀 😊

I feel like it’s getting rly generic so getting less interesting but I think I just need to power through

Ye saints who toil below,
Adore your heavenly King,
And onward as ye go
Some joyful anthem sing.
Take what He gives,
And praise Him still
Through good and ill
Who ever lives.
-Richard Baxter

Learning to dnf before I waste more time on smthng I’m not even enjoying. Even if i only have a little left in the book 🫣😂

Could be better by a lot

Drawn in IMMEDIATELY 🤩 audiobook is quite good 😊

“I refuse to gossip in the corridor,” the duke said, “To the book room.”
as if the book room makes gossiping any more acceptable? 😂

DNF the writing style was confusing enough that i couldn’t enjoy the story etc. bc i was too busy trying to figure out what in the world she meant 😅😬😭😂😮‍💨

Listened to several hours of the audiobook 😮‍💨 looked and I was only 58% through 😱😂

“We must realize that the pursuit of the self has absolutely nothing in its favor. If you turn away from God, you have turned away from your best self. You have turned away from your glory, you have turned away from your wisdom, and you have turned away from fulfillment.”

…eh? 😭🤦‍♀️😂

Gonna dnf
Fun and fantastical but the romance seems rather silly and this is not my fav
Fun world so though!

Oooh, it’s getting funnn!
I think I’d have an even better time if I was physically reading it…

We’ll see if the magic element is weird….

Becoming infuriated? Yah
This main character is super annoying but I’m this far and might as well finish it
….also rly cringy lol

Audiobook makes it less cringy? lol
Will probably be meh overall but still a fun, quick read

Yall.
I’m already SO INVESTED… I’m already preparing for the heartbreak at the end when it is not finished 😭🥲

Love a good canon plus audiobook 🤪 👌😎

stayed up till midnight reading and what I would have guessed to be 20 pgs. Ended up being 50…🫣👀😲🤣🤩
Love it so far!!!
The tv show is actually rly accurate 😱

Would maybe rec watching the tv show first if possible in order to get a good idea of Adam’s Adam….ness 😂
I love it though!!!!!

“Adam severely disliked beautiful people.” lol
Also reading this to the soundtrack for the tv show and in order so listening to “Shropshire, 1805” for the beginning and I such a VIBE 😲🤩

Pacing seems rly weird…..🤔🤪😂
Also I don’t think it’d be historically accurate for them to be around each other so much without other ppl
It’s giving The Other Bennet Sister in that sense (granted I’ve only watched the tv show 🤪)

Love these bizarre and weirdly comforting books lol

WHY ARE YHEY INTRODUCING SO MANY GUYS, THERE ARE ONLY SO MANY GIRLS 🫣😂😅🤣

There’s only one day in history titled July 24th, 2026
Am I going to spend it in discontent and ingratitude?

Why is Sarah questioning if she trusts a guy that she’s exchanged a grand total of four sentences with? That’s a little bit wild
Don’t love the writing but I think if I read this one the writing will get better through the series and maybe even the book idk
Also rly creepy: there’s this scene where it says that Emily can’t stop watching “his lips”
What a creep… who does that? 😂👀😬
