just started the flies.. i was a bit confused at first but now i think it’ll be ok the imagery is just a bit too vivid for me though like it’s actually sounding gross i don’t like imagining maggots and flies and rotten cabbage

just finished no exit i quite enjoyed it. i knew that “hell is other people” but not in the way i expected. hell is not being bothered or annoyed by the actions of other people; hell is being perceived and known by others. knowing that other people can know who you are, have their own thoughts about you, is sartre’s hell. there’s a lot to think about honestly

i like what he’s saying honestly i think he has good ideas about poverty and labor and quality of life but i think it could almost be too simplistic maybe? idk i have to finish the book first but i think adam smith’s capitalism is very different from capitalism we have now i think our economy is almost too complex to really function in the way he imagined but i like the book i think it’s interesting #econmajor

definitely different. he doesn’t really write in chronological order. he will mention a random person’s name then talk about them for many pages. he will ramble through every paragraph and then end it with a profound statement that feels out of place. it’s all very confusing and i struggle to really follow where we are or what’s happening. typical bob dylan
