This book could have been a whole lot shorter.

i keep having conflicting feelings about the FMC. like girl, why are you stealing from the people whom you just two chapters prior kept telling us you desperately needed to help you up north? Its like she is allergic to proper communication.

The second book was one of my favorite YA books in 2025, can't wait to get started on book 3 :)

It started off promising but then all the characters were either stupid or deeply unlikable.

Nope. I can handle pick me MCs and cringey dialogue but smut scenes with minors is gross 😬 how did this get picked up for traditional publishing?

The dialogue so far is really bad and the whole ”im not like other girls, im not shallow like a kiddy pool” thing is never not annoying 😬

90% through the book and we are still running in circles with that bloody lock that keeps rattling. This book could have been 300 pages shorter than it is..

I cant believe that book 1 was a 4.5 star read and here i am struggling to not DNF this one. I'm closing in on 300 pages and all that has happened has been the same thing on repeat over and over again. its giving "this book could have been an email", and to top it all off; the dialogue is really cringey. please tell me it gets better.

I liked the first book but this one is getting way too repetitive.
