I cannot describe how much I am already loving it!

This book is my introduction to Ann Radcliffe, and just like her contemporary Jane Austen, I find myself enjoying her work more than I expected. I went in with neutral mindset, not sure what to expect with only hearing secondhand accounts, but I can say I have found myself loving them both. The emotions I feel right now for poor Adeline!

This may be just the emotions speaking, as I just finished it, but words cannot express how much I love this book and what it means to me.

The Tale of Beren and Luthien has to be the best romance story I have ever read.

Loving it. I am getting answers to questions I have been curious about: why do the elves and dwarves hate each other? where did the elves come? why do them have such an interest in nature? I am loving it.

I am loving what I am reading so far. I did like The Lord of the Rings, mainly the first book, but I was always more interested in learning about the Elves, like Galadriel, Elrond, and Luthien, or the Maia, like Gandalf. This book already has some serious potential of being a favorite if not my favorite book. Still too early.
