this is my 3rd time in, i love dune

i won this book for free at book bingo. along with 5 others. it doesn't seem like the type of thing i'd normally read, but i got it for free so i'm giving it a shot. i had to choose fast so i chose based off covers. the one i'm most excited to read is one about anthony bourdain. this one kind of seems like a YA novel. i'm going in blind. we'll give it an honest boyscout try.

the high adrenaline parts are great but now i just feel sort of wrung out, it goes from so high tension to so boring and it's honestly whiplash. i'll comment more when i finish this damn thing finally.

i really like the book, i was a dinosaur kid and i loved the first 3 movies as a kid, but for some reason it feels like it's taking me forever to get through this! i feel like i've been reading jurassic park for 3 months! i don't think it's Crichton's fault. i think it's my own personal life at the moment. however, i love the differences vs the movies. the high adrenaline moments are great!

i have always wanted to compare this to the film as well, here goes nothing. sometimes i miss being a total acid freak, but this book makes me glad for my sobriety

Reading this again, it's been a few years since I have. After this time I can move it to my "read 4 or more times" tag/shelf (:

I have many thoughts, seen the movie a few times over the years, but never read the book, this is so interesting, and while i will always picture mia as ro, there are aspects to this book that somebody like roman polanski just could never express the nuance of, seeing as he was a piece of shit

I read this book many years ago and the older I get, the more relateable it becomes. Employers truly make you feel like Gregor the giant Roach for calling off for ONE day.
