I thought witches and suffragettes, that's for me. I was wrong. Another DNF.

Not as good as his other books. Everything here I've already read or heard already. He gets a bonus point for doing some research and citing it though.

I enjoyed reading this book, but it was marketed as the next epic fantasy that we've all been waiting for... it was not. It was worth reading and had a unique spin on the fantasy epic, using myths of the Americas; but the level of detail of the origins of the mythology and/or the characters is not as well developed. I went in with my expectations too high because of the hype. I liked it but my mind wasn't blown.

The beginning was great but then I lost interest in the plot having to go back and forth to the footnotes all the time. Great premise and start but halfway through I lost interest in the characters.
