I enjoyed reading this book, but it was marketed as the next epic fantasy that we've all been waiting for... it was not. It was worth reading and had a unique spin on the fantasy epic, using myths of the Americas; but the level of detail of the origins of the mythology and/or the characters is not as well developed. I went in with my expectations too high because of the hype. I liked it but my mind wasn't blown.
